Matthew 9: 32-34

He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils

As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils. (Matthew 9: 32-34)

Jesus touched the eyes of the blind. This is a medical practice in ancient Israel. However, Jesus' healing method for those who cannot speak is to expel demons. When a demon-possessed man was brought to Jesus, the ghost was cast out. But when everyone was amazed by this miracle, the Pharisees said.

He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils. What they mean is that Jesus' "miracle of the ghost leaving" is the ghost's work. Jesus said, "He who does not dwell on me is a child of the devil." The Pharisees are demons. John 8: 30-32As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Many people heard Jesus' sermons and believed in Jesus. "If you continue in my word, you become a disciple of Jesus," he said. It is clearly different from people's belief in Jesus and living in Jesus' words. It means that if you believe in Jesus but do not continue Jesus' words, you will not be saved.

Continue in my word means to know the truth and to become one with the truth. Then the truth (Jesus) sets people free. But when they said, "We have never been slaves to others, why do you tell us to be free"? Jesus said, "Freedom from sin." In Chapter 8: 34-36,Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Salvation must be set free from sin. It means that when we continue to the Lord's words and become the true disciples of the Lord, we become free when we become one with the truth. Therefore, it is clearly different from the saying, "If you believe in Jesus, you will be saved." Jesus said again in verse 37I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. Jesus said to the Jews who believed in Jesus, "You are about to kill me." How many believers in Jesus in many churches today? By the way, Jesus said to the people sitting in the church, "You do not continue in my words, you are sitting here to kill me."

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.  But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. (John 8: 38-40) Jews who came to believe in Jesus had previously believed in God as their Father. Therefore, Jesus is saying that we are not saved because we believe in God. It means that when we repent and be born again, "that Jesus trusts in Heavenly Father" will happen in us.
