Matthew 1:21-22
(Matthew 1:21-22)
And she
shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save
his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, (Matthew 1:21-22)
The name "Jesus" is the name of God on earth. God is Jehovah in the
kingdom of God. The Hebrews used the proper noun el to say God in the Bible.
But there is the name of God. When writing the Old Testament in writing, it was
left blank, and the Hebrews muttered when speaking. It is presumed to have been
said in Genesis 4:26 (Yod Bab He Bab). It is said that the name was not used
later. God gave his name directly to Moses (Misora Bible: Aeh Asher Aeh)
(English: I am who am). The Hebrews called this name "Adonai." However,
it was blank in the Old Testament.
Egypt's
Pharaoh Ptolemy II Philadelphos' order directed the six Bibles from the twelve
tribes of Israel to six tribes, and the Bible translated into Greek in
Alexandria for 72 days is said to be the 70 Translation Bible. The name of the
blank God was written in YHWH and called Kurius. In Latin it is called Dominus.
Then, diaspora who lived in Alexandria changed to YHaWHai by attaching adonai's
vowel a, ai to YHWH, and called it Yahweh. Later, during the translation process,
the YHWH part was marked as Jehovah in English (American standard).
Today the New International Version of the United States is translated as The
LORD. King James Version translated from England is also called The LORD.
Genesis 4:26,
Psalm 110:1, and the Old Testament are Jehovah, and the New Testament Acts 2:34
is "Lord." Why express differently? God (Jehovah) is one, but works
in three. God of Thrones (LORD), God the Creator, and the Holy Spirit. God, the
Creator, came into the world as Jesus Christ. He came to this world as the Son
of God on the throne. That is why Jehovah God became the Father and the Son.
Jesus shows that he is the Old Testament Jehovah in the Gospel of John. But in
the kingdom of God, he sat at the right hand of God.
The word Lord
means He is the Son of God and the Savior (Messiah) who died on the cross to
redeem repentant sinners from sin and was resurrected in three days. The
Savior's name is Jehovah in the kingdom of God, but Jesus on earth. The one
calling on the name of Jesus is the one calling on the name of the Lord. In
Acts 2:21, whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Those who
repent of God, not of anyone, can call on the name of the Lord.
