Matthew 7: 21-23

(Matthew 7: 21-23)

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

If you do not believe the words of Jesus, you will not be forgiven in this world as well as in the world to come. The coming world means the kingdom of God. In order to enter the kingdom of God, you have to do according to the will of my Father in heaven.

With regard to my Father's will in heaven, people often think that it is God's will to choose. When humans think about choices, they try to choose what they think is right. For man, God's will is not one thing, but dozens of things, and this and that. Can people go to heaven if they realize "the will of God"? Can this be a requirement to enter heaven? We have to think.

A prerequisite is to do as my Father's will, which is difficult if we don't know Heavenly Father's will exactly. In John (14: 6) it says: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We can only go to God through Jesus Christ. Some people think that they can be saved only by practicing love in the world. The sinners who died on the cross with Jesus, the lepers, and the women who were caught in adultery were not saved because they practiced love, but they just met Jesus, repented, and were saved.

The condition for entering the kingdom of God is that there should be no sin. The Bible says in John (6:54).Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."Who eat my flesh, and drink my blood, have eternal life" means to enter into Jesus Christ, who died on the cross. Jesus also expressed, "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." Says in John (3: 5).Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

To be born again means to be born with new life, to die with Jesus Christ and to be born again with Jesus Christ in new life. To enter heaven, we must be reborn in the spirit body. If you do not believe the words of Jesus, you will not enter heaven.

Jesus said, "You must do my Father's will" in order to enter heaven. In the last days many people will say: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? So, these people did not believe in Jesus. But these people were those who had faith in Jesus and did all kinds of things, why does Jesus say, "I do not know you" in the last days? After all, these are people who have not eaten the flesh of the Son of Man, drank blood, have not been born of water and the Holy Spirit, and have never been forgiven. People do not enter heaven unless they know "acting according to the Father's will." The Bible says in John (6: 38-40).

For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. Those who believe what Jesus says enter heaven. Those who believe in Jesus are those who have entered into Jesus Christ. They died on the cross with Jesus. God has forgiven all the sins of the dead with Jesus. Those who believe that Jesus took all the sins of the world have entered into Christ. Every person who believes in what Jesus Christ has accomplished (who entered into Christ) enters heaven.

Though they believe in Jesus, those who still think that sin remains in them cannot enter heaven. Because sin remains, those who repent daily and think that they should be forgiven cannot enter heaven.

Among those who say, Lord, Lord, these are people who repent daily and try to be forgiven of their sins. Romans (6: 7) says, "If you do not die, sin remains." Not daily confession of sin, but daily death. To die every day is to repent. Those who do not believe that Jesus took all the sins of the world and repent of it every day. Jesus does not know them. In other words, they are not sinners because they are still sinners. No matter how many people say they believe in themselves, they cannot enter heaven unless they believe that Jesus has taken away all the sins of the world.

Jesus performed many powers on the Jews, demolished demons, and performed miracles to save the dead. The people saw Jesus' miracles, but they did not find Christ and participated in crucifying Jesus. The Bible says that leading to Christ is an elementary teacher. The elementary teacher speaks of the law (the law of the wrath of God). That is, through the law they should have found Christ, but the Jews did not find Jesus Christ.

In 2 Corinthians (3:14), there is an expression of the law, "towels are covered." In the past, when Moses met God on Mount Sinai, his face was shiny and covered his face with a towel. Likewise, when the Jews saw the Law, they had a towel in their hearts, and they did not know Christ when they saw the Law. "The towel is gone in Christ". The Bible says in 2 Corinthians (3: 14-16).

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.  But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.  Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. Those who have fully found Christ through the law are stripped of their towels.

Few people in the church think that they are saved by keeping the law. Although they think that they are saved only in the faith of Jesus Christ, they are willing to keep the law. The Bible says in Ephesians (1:13).

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Those in Jesus Christ said that God gives the Holy Spirit. Those under the law do not have the Holy Spirit. God gives the Holy Spirit to those who believe in the works of Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Galatians (5:18).

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Those who are led by the Spirit are dead by law. Thus, those who are led by the Holy Spirit are irrelevant to the law.
